Prevalence of food allergies even higher than previously estimated

FARE put together the infographic (below) to indicate the severity of the food allergy epidemic. About 32 million Americans, more than double what was estimated before, have a food allergy. These number come from an article published by Dr Ruchi Gupta of Northwestern University. The article was published in jan 2019 in the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA) and can be found on the JAMA site or Pubmed.
